FINALLY, finally I have come across I really liked!

I finished Noah and Me about 3 hours ago and thought I have to let you guys know that it is really worth a read.

“So you fix broken hearts, do you?” I ask. “Seems a little ironic.”

Noah Carter is one of the best cardiothoracic doctors in the country. He’s incredibly intelligent, funny, kind and he’s a beast in the bedroom. He has scars that drizzle down his chest and painful memories of an unforgettable night that plague his every waking hour.

Seven years ago, Noah stumbled upon me at the side of a grave and saved me in one of the most compassionate ways another human being can save another. I will always love him for that. Always.

He loved me in a way that no man has ever loved me since, and I gave him everything. I gave it all to him until my secrets and lies tore us apart, forcing me to shatter his heart into a thousand little pieces.

Seven years ago, he loved me…but now he hates me. And I hate that he hates me. Leaving Noah is my biggest regret in life - and I have a lot of things that I regret. A lot.
I’m Ariel Miller, and this is the story of Noah and Me. (Amazon)

This book is a roller coaster of emotions but I like it that way. I cannot stand easy love stories as this is just not what love is like. Love is irrational, love hurts, and love does not always chose right...

Both characters were just amazing and I felt close to them at once. There is this suspence going on right from the beginning and I like that we do not understand why Ariel is behaving the way she is. We only know that she is a good person and she just cannot help herself.
Noah seems like great boyfriend material. But I like him even more all grown up. I would have loved to have more insight on their current lives as I believe this would have been a great story too. We realise right from the beginning that he is hurt but he cannot stay away from her... I will not tell too much but it is definitely worth a read...

Enjoy!

It's at a cocktail party in her honour that she first meets him - and the attraction is immediate for graduate student Francesca Arno. It's also bewildering. She's not used to such a wholesale sexual response to a stranger. Enigmatic, darkly intense, with a commanding presence, billionaire Ian Noble completely unnerves her. And she likes it.

For Ian, Francesca is the kind of woman he can't resist - one that comes all too rarely: a true innocent. But he can sense in her a desire to open up, to experiment, to give herself to the fantasies of a man in control. The first kiss, the first caress, the first challenge for a woman who craves what she's never had - a man who gets what he wants... (Amazon)

It seems that I am not very lucky in finding a book I really enjoy reading...

On Friday, I started reading Beth Kery's Because you are mine after seeing it recommended by various sources online. But yet again I was disappointed and could not get into the story. I did not like the Heroine. She seemed immature and didn't strike me as very independent or likable. Maybe it was her submissive character but she did everything he told her to without much hesitation or thought. I do like a dominant hero but I could just not get myself to like Ian and did not connect to him at all. The entire storyline seemed way to rushed and I was asking myself when did they actually fall in love??

Sorry,... but again not something I enjoyed reading.

Who has seen Fifty Shades of Grey in the cinema?

I wanna hear your thoughts...

First post and first book review.

Good Morning Ladies (and Gentleman in case one of you managed to find my blog)

At first I would like to tell you a couple of things about myself. I am in my late twenties and live in the UK. I love love love books and as I go through many of them I decided to share my thoughts. I am always looking for new books so if you have anything to recommend please let me know. My latest passion are erotica & NA novels but I am open for all kinds of genres.

I just finished a book yesterday and I have to admit that I just wasn't into it.

The book was Fade into you by Kate Dawes

Olivia Rowland leaves her Midwestern life behind after graduating from college and heads off to Los Angeles to work for a Hollywood talent agent. Life in L.A. is a culture shock, but nothing compared to the jolt she gets when Max enters her life.

Max Dalton is Hollywood's youngest and brightest movie producer/director/writer. He's wealthy, successful, hot, and there's never a shortage of women throwing themselves at him, but there's only one woman he wants, and he intends to make it happen.

As Max pursues Olivia, he finds that she presents a whole new challenge for him. When Olivia finally gives in the stage is set for a perilous, yet passionate relationship. Together they discover each other's deepest desires, and darkest secrets... (Amazon)

Without much of an introduction I was thrust into the relationship of Olivia and Max. There is no real character development and I could not connect to either Olivia or Max. Both characters are very flat which makes it hard to get an emotional connection. It all seems to go very quick between those two. Don't get me wrong I do not mind the idea of One Night Stands in this genre but I could not make out if they are actually falling in love or if they just fancy each other.

Not much seems to happen thoughout the story. After their first sex they have a little bit of an misunderstanding and I thought that it will finally develop a little but was dissapointed. Even though Max was explaining himself it all seemed way to easy.

I go bored and even though I usually do not give up I couldn't finish this book.

All in all I give this book 1 out of 5 stars and have to find something else to read now...
